STAY WARM, RIDE LONGER

Vermont Flannel teams up with USASA

If you’ve spent any time at a Vermont mountain in winter, you know the feeling. Cold air. Early mornings. Kids pulling on gloves that are still a little damp from yesterday. Someone out early, getting a few laps in before the day begins. That’s where the USASA Northern Vermont Series lives. This winter, we got to be a small part of it.

A Place to Start (and Keep Going)

The United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association (USASA) has been doing something important for a long time: they give people a place to show up.

Across the country, and right here in Northern Vermont, they run competitions that are open, welcoming, and real. You’ll see first-time riders standing next to athletes who’ve been working at this for years. You’ll see nerves, progress, falls, and moments that stick.

The Northern Vermont Series moves through places like Stowe, Bolton Valley, Sugarbush, Jay Peak, and Killington. Slopestyle, rail jams, halfpipe, alpine.

Some riders are chasing Nationals. Some are just trying to land something new. All of it matters.

The Kind of Day You Remember

Slopestyle days have a certain energy. A couple of runs. Friends at the bottom of the course. Waiting your turn, watching someone stomp a line they’ve been working toward all season.

At a few events this winter, first-place riders stepped onto the podium and were handed a Vermont Flannel scarf—made just for the Northern Vermont Series. Fifty in total. Each with a custom NVT label, 90s style. Something warm they could throw on right away. Something made here, for a day they’ll probably remember for a long time.

It All Stays Close

There’s something special about how this all comes together in Vermont. Families, friends, and riders who keep showing up for each other.

USASA does a lot more than run competitions. They build a space where people can grow into the sport—and into themselves a little, too. It’s steady, year after year.

We’re glad we got to play a small role this season.

Custom Flannel for Your Crew

Those scarves were made just for the Northern Vermont Series, but the idea behind them is simple.

If you’ve got a team, an event, or a group that means something to you, we can make flannel that reflects it. Flannel scarves, shirts, blankets, and beyond—cut and sewn here in America.

Your logo, your brand, your vibe. Nothing overcomplicated. Just made well, and made to last.

SEE YOU OUT THERE

The USASA National Championships are coming up, bringing together riders from across the country—many of them starting in series just like this one.

If you’re heading out to the mountain, it’s a good time to hold onto the layers that keep up.
